Funding secured for Peer Support Groups

05-May-2017
Sandwell Council has awarded Ideal for All a grant of £50,000 to continue peer support activities for disabled people up to 65 years old living in Sandwell.

The grant will support the facilitation of a number of peer support groups across the Sandwell borough including a popular weekly youth group ‘All Together Different’.

Khatija Patel, Ideal for All’s CEO, commented:

“This is welcome news for all the members who access peer support and means that we can reach new people who would benefit from a supportive environment where they can feel comfortable to share experiences, meet others, give feedback on services, propose new ideas and enjoy independent living activities.”
