“I first went to Ideal for All on a week’s work experience from school. I enjoyed being at the centre and asked if I could attend the Youth Group.

“I have a mild learning disability and weakness on my left side making it difficult for me to use my left hand. I first felt nervous but soon fitted into the group.

“I quickly made friends and enjoyed taking part in the different activities that I would have not been able to do if I didn’t belong to the youth group.

“I now live in supported living accommodation and attend Dudley College where I am doing a catering course. The staff have been there to help me and my confidence has grown a lot since I first joined the group.

“I would like to become a mentor to other young people accessing the service.”
