“I was initially referred to Salop Drive (therapeutic gardening) by my Community Psychiatric Nurse. I was diagnosed with mild learning disability, anxiety and depression and recently been diagnosed bi-polar. I was becoming isolated and withdrawn.

“I lacked confidence as the social groups I was attended kept closing down. From working with Tim at the Gardens, I was put in touch with the youth team and started to access the youth club.

“I have made friends for life and feel I am more confident and expressive since coming to youth group. I open up to people a lot more and know I can trust the staff and other members to offer their support when I need it. There’s always something new to try or learn. I like that we choose what we do each week and my voice gets heard."
