Specialist Employment Support Officer (Solihull)

Title: Specialist Employment Support Officer

Hours: 37 Hours per week 

Salary: £21,572 to £24,365 (FTE) per annum – depending on skills and experience

Responsible to: Employment and Skills Manager or as advised

We are looking for a full time enthusiastic hard working and highly motivated Specialist Employment Support Officer (SESO) to join our team based in Solihull. The individual must have lived experience or expert knowledge of disability and a real insight into the issues disabled people face in finding and securing employment.

Key responsibility and tasks:

Supporting participants to develop CVs, job applications, job searches, interview skills; aiming to support individuals to move into paid employment.
This role provides an opportunity to actively influence and support employers in the local community to change their attitudes towards employing disabled people or those with a health condition, and work with them to build a better understanding of disability and being Disability Confident.
The SESO will need excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills and be able to manage a range of tasks in outreach locations within Solihull and in the local community.
