Whitmore Reans, Wolverhampton WV6

Rate of Pay:
£8.60 per hour   

Nature of the job role: The post is to support an elderly Asian lady living in the Whitmore Reans area of Wolverhampton with who requires help with everyday living to enable her to live comfortably and happily in home environment.

Main Duties:

Personal duties: Encourage personal care, may be required occasionally

Domestic duties: Support with household duties, shopping, medical appointments, visiting temple

Social Duties: Support during hospital or doctor’s visits
Be able to identify any issues/risks 
Accessing the community
Be proactive and communicate any ideas that could enhance day to day living 
Undertake any training I deem necessary or appropriate for the role

Hours of work: 
10 hours per week, to be discussed at interview, includes alternate Saturdays 
Additional shifts available covering sickness/holidays
Immediate Start available or start ASAP
The post will include 5.6 weeks paid annual leave (pro-rata)

Essential requirements
Punjabi speaking 
Knowledge of Asian culture
Basic understanding of Mental Health
Driving with own car

Skills & Experience:

Someone who is friendly, patient and supportive.  You should have a genuine interest in the provision of high quality care and should possess the motivation to develop trust and understanding within the role. 
You should be hardworking, reliable, honest with a sense of humour and be committed to providing the best care.
