Personal Assistant (VG2) - External Vacancy - ST19

Job Title: Personal Assistant/Carer (PA)

Job reference: VG/PA/02/23

Reporting to: Employer

Location: Brewood 

Rate of Pay: £12.50 per hour for care provided to the Employer at their home address

Nature of the job role: 1 x Personal Assistant to assist on weekends.

The role requires 14 hrs over the weekend - 7 Hrs Saturday and Sunday 

Saturday and Sunday = 10.30am to 3.30pm block call and then evening visit at 8.30pm to 10.30pm - with flexibilty hours to be discussed to work for employer and employee

The Employer is a young professional lady with a physical disability. The Employer has an extremely active social life. The Employer’s current PAs adopt a flexible collaborative team approach to assist the Employer in being as independent as possible. Any candidate must be a team player.

Main duties:
The role would involve providing drinks, clearing away dishes, general household cleaning, preparing a bed, providing minimal personal care and assisting with letting the dogs into the garden.

Social duties; Assisting with activities in and out of the Employer’s home, shopping, running errands, attending gym, prescription collections, social evening and refuelling the car. Accompanying the Employer to social events and appointments as required.

Personal Duties; Personal care, ensure safety at all times, manual handling and lifting will be required to wheelchair.

Skills and experience; Ability to carry out general domestic tasks, manual handling and lifting and ability to fulfil a caring role. The ideal employee will be caring, honest, reliable, responsible and patient, with a good sense of humour. They must be good with dogs and good time-keeping is essential! The employee should be able to use their own initiative, have good communication and inter-personal skills. 

A full UK driving licence and use of own car with business insurance is required.

It is intended that the successful candidate will also be a bank member of staff to cover shifts/calls when required and additional hours may be offered and this will be agreed with plenty of notice.

Enhanced DBS check essential or willing to get one before starting employment and Right to Work to be completed.

A previous care background is not necessary.
