Personal Assistant (RS)

Job Title: Support Worker / Personal Care Assistant

Job Ref: MH RS 03 19

Reporting to:
Employer

Location: Wednesfield - Wolverhampton WV11

Rate of Pay: £9.25

Nature of the job role: Supporting a young boy with Autism and Learning Difficulties, who is non verbal, to access local amenities and leisure activities within Wolverhampton.

Main Duties:

Personal duties: Assisting with toileting

Domestic duties: Preparing snacks / assisting with feeding

Social Duties: To accompany and support on trips out to access local amenities; park, cinema etc.

Hours of work: 4 hours per week
Saturday or Sunday typically between 10.00am and 2.00pm but times may vary so you should have a flexible approach to work.

Qualifications:
Full clean driving licence, experience essential that you've worked with children who have severe learning difficulties and autism. 

Skills & Experience: Someone who is friendly, patient and supportive and has experience of working with children who have Autism or severe learning disabilities is a must and requirement. You should have a genuine interest in the provision of high quality care and should possess the motivation to develop trust and understanding within the role. You should be hardworking, reliable, honest with a sense of humour and be committed to providing the best care. In return you will have the opportunity to practice your skills, keep up to date with professional development as any necessary training can be provided.

An Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check will be required, funded by the Local Authority. Car driver preferred but not essential
