  Nature of the job role and main duties:
  
  To work with me to assist in addressing my anxiety, and promote my independence in accessing appropriate activities (usually) outside of my home environment. This will involve:
  
  • re-introducing me to and helping me to become familiar with a range of places as is appropriate to my current and ongoing mental health
  • accompanying me on visits to appropriate places and assisting me in engaging with agreed activities
  • developing a friendly professional relationship with me
  • gradually extending my experience of places outside of the home as my anxiety becomes controlled and my confidence increases
  
  When I am feeling less well, these activities might be reduced and more focus placed on activities at home such as gardening or local walks.
  
  Hours of work: 6hrs/week to be arranged flexibly on a weekly basis.
  
  Skills and experience: Skilled in interpersonal work with individuals experiencing severe anxiety; able to respond appropriately and help me manage anxiety when out and about. Knowledge or experience of working with autism and ADHD desirable. The ideal person likes being in the countryside and shares my interests in history and languages. 
  
  Own car and willingness to travel in the Staffordshire area required. Business insurance will be required.
