Job Description and Person Specification

Job Title: Personal Assistant (x2)
Job Ref: JI/CT/06/21 
Reporting to: Employer
Location: Frankley, Birmingham B32
Rate of Pay: £9.15 per hour

Nature of the job role:
A Personal Assistant is required to work as part of a team to assist with various tasks, supporting the employer to live an independent personal and social life. The employer has a pet cat which will also need to be cared for.

Main Duties: 
- Personal duties: To assist with washing and dressing.
- Domestic duties: Washing, ironing clothes and bed linen, keeping rooms clean and tidy, preparing food and drinks, feed the cat, clean litter and bowls.
- Social Duties: These duties vary from day to day to be arranged with the employer. The position also requires holidays for a 2nd PA.

Any other reasonable duties that may be necessary.

Hours of work:
Main PA - 14 -18 hours per week to include Wednesday evening, Thursday, Friday and Saturday morning and evening (all calls approximately 2 hours each). 

Also required is a 2nd PA part-time for 4 hours per week.

Qualifications:
Level 3 NVQ Health and Social Care or equivalent.

Skills & Experience:
The applicant must have experience in administering medication (MDS trained) and must be able to provide a high-level of care. The applicant must also be a car owner over 25 for insurance purposes and have business insurance.
