Our Gardening Group is a welcoming, inclusive space open to everyone, a mixed group where all adults are welcome to get involved, meet others, and enjoy the benefits of gardening in good company!
We focus on gentle, shared gardening activities, working together as a group. It’s all about joining in at your own pace – whether that’s sowing seeds, watering plants, harvesting fresh produce, or simply enjoying time outdoors. There’s no pressure, no experience needed, and plenty of support from staff and peers.
Alongside the gardening, we also spend time cooking simple, healthy meals using what we’ve grown, helping to build confidence in the kitchen and promote healthy eating habits. These relaxed sessions are a chance to learn, share skills, and enjoy the food!
This group is as much about wellbeing as it is about gardening. Being in nature, getting some light physical activity, and connecting with others all help reduce stress, lift mood, and support both mental and physical health. For those who might be feeling isolated or managing long-term health challenges, it’s a gentle way to take that next step.
