Job Title: Personal Care Assistant

Job Ref: JI/JP/04/19

Reporting to: Employer

Location: Wolverhampton WV11

Rate of Pay: £9.00/hr

Nature of the job role: Nature of the job role: Supporting an elderly gentleman living in Wednesfield, Wolverhampton who is wheelchair dependent to provide domestic assistance

Main Duties:

Personal duties: 

Domestic duties: Domestic duties: Cooking and preparing meals; Laundry washing and ironing; Cleaning house, vacuuming, dusting, shopping

Social Duties: 

Hours of work: 10 hours per week
Mondays & Wednesdays 11.00am to 2.30pm
Fridays 11.00am to 2.00pm

Qualifications: Food Hygiene certification preferred but not essential. The successful applicant will be required to complete a Disclosing & Barring Services check.

Skills & Experience: Experience of cooking and maintaining a cleaning and tidy home is essential.
Someone who is friendly, patient and supportive. You should have a genuine interest in the provision of high quality care and should possess the motivation to develop trust and understanding within the role.
You should be hardworking, reliable, honest with a sense of humour and be committed to providing the best care.
In return you will have the opportunity to practice your skills, keep up to date with professional development as any necessary training can be provided.
Be proactive and communicate any ideas that could enhance my day to day living
Undertake any training I deem necessary or appropriate for the role.
