The Equipment Service for Deaf & Hearing Impaired People offers information and assessment on
a range of equipment to assist people to live more safely and independently.

Direct Payment Support Service
The Direct Payments Support Service offers advice, support and information to
anyone who is interested in or already receiving a Direct Payment in Sandwell.
We offer training on how to receive and run your Direct Payment.
Drop In Equipment Service
The 'Drop in’ Equipment Service is a service providing Sandwell residents
with access to a limited range of equipment to improve and maintain independence.
Whilst equipment can be issued, the assessment is often only the starting point
with referrals being made to a number of other agencies. Assessments are open
to people of any age, ethnicity and ability.
Employment Support & Advice Service
The Employment Support & Advice Service is a support service for disabled people,
those with learning disabilities & disadvantaged people assisting them to become
economically active in terms of work, further education and training. As well as
providing information and advice on employment matters, the service can also be
used by parents and professionals.
Growing Opportunities Horticulture Service
Growing Opportunities is a service of Ideal for All, which offers a range of
activities from two fully accessible gardens, developed by disabled people with
diverse needs in mind.
- Malthouse Garden is a therapeutic garden in Smethwick
- Salop Drive Market Garden is a three acre working market garden.
Information Advice Service
Ideal for All’s Information Service offers impartial advice and information on
a wide range of disability related issues. The service aims to provide disabled
people and carers with information that will enable them to access to a range
of services and equipment. This will support individuals to make more informed
choices about issues that affect them.
Lifelong Learning Service
The Lifelong Learning Service was set up to improve access to learning, training
and employment for disabled and disadvantaged people in the Sandwell area. We
provide a range of courses, materials in alternative formats, and a high level
of learning support. We have access to a wide range of aids, adaptations and
specialist software to support our learners.
Membership Service
People become members for very many different reasons. Most with a common
passion to achieve inclusion and integration of disabled people within all
aspects of society. Membership benefits both individuals and their families alike.
Become a committee member and offer your first hand disability, personal or
first hand experience or perspective and knowledge.
Multimedia Service
The aim of the Multimedia Service is to utilise the latest technologies in
Information Technology (IT), Audio, Video and Print, in order to ensure all
disabled people have equal access to information and learning materials in
fully accessible formats.
Occupational Therapy Service
The Occupational Therapy Service provides information and advice to anyone aiming
to maintain or increase independence in their daily routine, leisure or work activities.
The level of involvement varies with each individual; from simple advice to an assessment
with the demonstration of equipment, referrals to other services or a series of
rehabilitation sessions and follow-up.
Social Events Group
The social events group offers Day trips and, once a year, a short holiday, to
our members. We also hold monthly “Drop - In” sessions where you can come along
and meet and make new friends, perhaps join in a game of “prize” bingo. All
prizes are donated by our members.
