Style Sheets
If you have a visual impairment you may wish to change the
display style to increase readability. To achieve this we have provided four
display styles.
- Style 1: Regular display.
- Style 2: Increased font size
- Style 3: Increased font size with high contrast black text on white background
- Style 4: Increased font size with high contrast white text on black background
These styles can be activated by clicking on their rightful icons in the top right corner of all pages.
If however you wish to apply your own stylesheet to the website to tailor it to your own preferences, you can do so by following the guide below.
- Click Tools in the toolbar at the top and select Internet Options
- Select the General tab and click the Accessibility button
- Select the box next to Ignore colors specified by web pages and click OK
- Click Colors (a menu of colours should appear). Select your preferred background colour then click OK.
- Select the Accessibility option. (4 tick boxes will appear). Tick the three boxes listed under the Formatting heading and click OK
- Click OK to confirm the new settings.
We have endeavoured to ensure that every page on this site displays correctly with stylesheets disabled.
Access Keys
This web site provides an access key system to navigate the menus and the following information summarises each of the keyboard shortcut commands available to you.
The leading character of each menu item is the access key for that item.
Where there are multiple menu items with identical leading characters, repeating the selection process will cycle through each menu item
Depending on your browser type use one of the following to utilise the feature:
A. With Windows-based systems, in general, press the "Alt" key and the relevant access key:
- if you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer version 5, 6 or 7 then press "Alt" and the relevant number/letter, then press the "Enter" key
- if you are using Firefox Version 2, then press the "Alt" and "Shift" keys at the same time, then the relevant number/letter
- if you are using Netscape version 6 or later, or Mozilla, then press "Alt" and the relevant number/letter at the same time
- if you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer version 4 then press "Alt" and the relevant number/letter at the same time
B. With Macintosh-based systems, press the "Ctrl" key and the relevant access key
Images
To aid visually impaired user we have incorporated an image magnification system. This can be utilised by clicking on the relevant image at which point it will increase in size. To close the magnified image users can either click on the magnified image, click in the boundary of the image or the close link,
