Personal Assistant (SB)

Job Title: Personal Assistant Support Worker

Job Ref: MH/SB/01/19

Reporting to: Employer

Bradmore, Wolverhampton WV3

Rate of Pay:
£9.00 per hour

Nature of the job role:
To be a personal assistant support worker to a boy with a learning disability who is none verbal. He is an outgoing and sociable person who enjoys the outdoors and physical activities.

Main Duties:

Personal duties: To assist with feeding and toileting

Domestic duties: None

Social Duties: To provide full assistance, support with morning school run. Accessing social and physical activities within the local community.

Hours of work: 1 hour per day Monday – Friday starting at 8.00am
                           Plus weekends 4 hours flexible

BSL Level 2 Skills and car driver with use of own vehicle preferred but not essential. The successful applicant will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check which would be paid for by the local authority.

Skills & Experience: Someone who enjoys being active, who has the skills to give the necessary support with activities to promote clients independence.  You should have a genuine interest in the provision of high quality care, be able to work flexible hours and be a good communicator and also possess the motivation to develop trust and understanding within the role. In return you will have the opportunity to practice your skills, keep up to date with professional development as training will be provided. Be hardworking, reliable, committed, honest, and trustworthy with a sense of humour.
