Rate of Pay: £9.25 per hour

Nature of the job role:  Supporting an elderly Asian lady living in Whitmore Reans, Wolverhampton. She understands very little English, Punjabi being her first language, she has always been fiercely independent. Past medical history includes Alzheimer's, Hypertension and lupus. She was treated for a Cardiac Infarction with Beta-blockers and has recovered well. Mental and physical well-being is slowly declining and now requires constant prompts and encouragement to complete tasks

Main Duties:

Personal duties: She is able to wash her upper half without aid. Wash her hair with encouragement, however would need assistance when rinsing her hair. Assistance with lower half and prompts to complete her morning continence and personal care routine.

Domestic duties: Needs all meals preparing for her as she will forget that she has things cooking or that she hasn’t ate or drank through the day. She will choose what she would like to eat if given a choice, following a strict Muslim diet

Social Duties: 

Hours of work: 14 hours

6:00am - 30 min call- supervise with all mobility, assist with washing, dressing, continence care and preparing meal and medication. Encouragement and prompting needed.
12:30pm - 30 min call - assist with preparing meal and drink, encourage to eat and administer medication prompt continence care.
4:30pm - 30 min call - tea call to assist with continence care, Prompt and assist with preparing meal and drink, encourage to eat and administer medication.
9:30pm - 30 min - to assist with medication, getting prepared for bed, continence care and having a drink within reaching distance.

An Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check will be required, funded by the Local Authority
