Rate of Pay:  £9.00 per hour

Nature of the job role: 


Main Duties:
Supporting an elderly Asian lady living in Bilston who has multiple health problems which have impacted on her ability to maintain independence at home, these are as follows: diabetes, stroke 25 years ago, visual impairment due to cataract to right eye, knee replacement and repeated falls. Since having her knee replacement her mobility has significantly deteriorated and with each fall this deteriorated further resulting in having falls nearing on a daily basis. 

Personal duties: 
Support needed with washing and dressing
Transfer to use commode with assistance of others and mechanical aid
Support to ensure commode is empty and cleaned ready for use
Support to change incontinence pad
Support to give pressure area care and check areas
Once in bed she is able to roll from side to side by holding unto the cot sides.

Domestic duties: 

Social Duties: 

Hours of work: 7 ¾ hours per week
Monday – Friday 12:00 -12:30pm
Saturday 12:00 -12:30pm, 2:00pm – 3:00pm, 8:30pm -9:15pm
Sunday 8:30 - 9:15am, 12:00 -12:30pm, 2:00pm -3:00pm, 8:30pm - 9:15pm

Qualifications: 
Punjabi speaking

Someone who is friendly, patient and supportive.  You should have a genuine interest in the provision of high quality care and should possess the motivation to develop trust and understanding within the role. 
You should be hardworking, reliable, honest with a sense of humour and be committed to providing the best care.
