Job Title: Female Personal Assistant
Reporting to: Client direct
Location: Sandwell, Tipton
Rate of Pay: £9.50 per hour
Hours: 18.5 hrs a week
10:30 am till 2:30 pm and 8.30pm till 9.30pm including alternate weekends
Elderly Person with MS is looking for someone to cover maternity from June - also as back up to cover holiday and sickness.
The job revolves around helping the client with their immediate needs and includes getting to know them and providing them with emotional support and company, which contributes positively to their wellbeing.
Personal care
Assist client with personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, food preparation and getting the employer out of bed. Client would like to be dressed in clean, presentable clothes daily, would like her PAs to continue to support her to achieve this and to ensure her laundry is carried out regularly and there is sufficient clean, dry clothing at all times for her to wear.
Medication
Administering, or prompting to take medication.
Domestic duties
Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as dusting, vacuuming, changing bed clothes, disposing of waste correctly, cleaning equipment used by the employer along with shopping and general support, needs full support with keeping her home sufficiently clean and maintained, does need assistance to maintain her amenities.
The PAs also manage all her laundry and change her bedding each week or when needed. Client will need assistance to ensure meals are prepared for her as she is no longer able to make herself a simple sandwich, or a hot cup of tea due to the deterioration in her MS - likes to eat a well balanced and varied diet.
Social Duties
Help with shopping and assistance while accompanying on occasional days out and hospital appointments. Travel to be by taxi. These duties may vary from day to day.

Candidates must be warm and friendly, with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a genuine passion for high quality care and support. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, well-organised and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Experience of care work and manual handling, health, and social care, including administration of medication.
