Rate of Pay:
£9.25/hr

Nature of the job role: To support the employer to develop her independence when accessing the community. She travels to and from places within walking distance independently once familiar with the routes. The employer is often supported to access the community by groups of friends or her parents, but she would like to travel independently and has agreed that it would be good for a PA to support her with this.

The employer would like to be able to sustain her activities with her current support group as it is extremely important for her to engage in the community and with this, meet new people that share similar hobbies and interests. The employer would like support to access new groups/activities and would require 1:1 support to engage in these. Promoting independence with travel to the groups and maintain new networks is very important to the employer, she is very keen to explore her social community and would like to seek support from a PA to do this.

Main Duties:

Personal duties: None

Domestic duties: None

Social Duties: Supporting the employer with life skills, social interaction, promoting independence and with activities. These activities may include going to the cinema or theatre, Ballroom Dancing and shopping, but also anything else that helps the employer to socialise and engage within the community.

Hours of work:
5 per week (days and times to be flexible)

Qualifications: Full UK Driving Licence required

Skills & Experience:
Working with individuals that require support socialising would be desirable, as would an interest in gardening, crafts, cinema and theatre, in order to support the employer with her own interests of these activities.
