Personal Assistant (AB)

Job Title: Female Personal Care Assistant / Support Worker

Reporting to:

Merry Hill, Wolverhampton WV3 

Rate of Pay:
£9.25 per hour

Nature of the job role: 
To support is a young lady who has complex care needs and is fully dependent for all needs living in the Merry Hill area of Wolverhampton. Adult supervision is required at all times. She is a very happy person who thrives on social interaction. 

Main Duties:
To escort and accompany her on social outings and accessing local amenities. Occasional nights sits

Personal duties:
Assistance with washing dressing and toileting. 

Domestic duties: 
Food preparation. 

Social Duties: 
Accessing amenities within the community and escorting on occasional day trips

Hours of work: 
An average of 9 hours per week with occasional sleep Ins and weekend work. There may be additional hours to cover holiday and sickness. Actual days / times would be arranged by mutual agreement two weeks in advance.

Manual handling qualification required. Experience of working with children with complex care needs and supporting qualifications preferred but not essential. You must have a full, clean driving licence with access to fully insured / M.O.T.’d vehicle.
The successful applicant will require an enhanced DBS check, cost covered by the Local Authority

You should be someone who is friendly, patient and supportive.  You should have a genuine interest in the provision of high quality care and should possess the motivation to develop trust and understanding within the role. 
You should have a flexible approach to work, be hardworking, reliable, honest with a sense of humour and be committed to providing the best care.
