This will include activities such as supporting people to access shopping for essentials; mental health support navigation; liaising with statutory and community sector support e.g. GP’s, Adult Social Care and local charities; helping people to access voluntary services and appointments; befriending and working to reduce social isolation worsened by the pandemic. Beneficiaries are aged 18+ and are from all parts of the community in Sandwell. The successful candidate will need to have good communication skills and hold sound knowledge of what is available locally to have a ‘strengths based’ IAG conversation. This person-centred approach will enable you to navigate them towards the right support for them, towards greater independence.
