Introduction to Service

The aim of the Multimedia Service is to utilise the latest technologies in Information Technology (IT), Audio, Video and Print, in order to ensure all disabled people have equal access to information and learning materials in fully accessible formats.

Our approach is to allow the customer to take an active role in the design and specification to assist them in building a powerful and extensive library of fully accessible media.

With our knowledge of the Disability Discrimination Act we endeavour to ensure that everyone has equal access to information regardless of their disability.

The service is available to anyone who requires any assistance with designing, developing or producing accessible media.

How can we help you improve your service?

Since the introduction of the Disability Discrimination Act many organisations have found it difficult to produce accessible media as they have become accustomed to merely producing standard print. The Multimedia Service can help improve your service by consulting with your organisation to help design and develop accessible media that conforms to the DDA and ensures that all of your users or clients have equal access to your material.

Our services

Audio Transcription

Our extensive audio setup allows us to create clear and concise audio transcriptions. These can then be distributed on tapes, CD�s, Minidisc�s or digital audio files.

Braille Transcription

We are fully versed in Braille translation and transcription and have the ability to translate, emboss and proof Braille in-house.

Web Site Design & Development

With the growing need of organisations to distribute material online and to make this accessible to all, we can now provide fully accessible web sites that conform to all recognised standards.

Conference Presentation Production

We have a wealth of experience in producing fully accessible and visually pleasing presentations for numerous organisations utilizing the latest technologies.

Desktop Publishing

We have an experienced design team who are able to produce publishing material in a range of formats and designs. We also have close links with a number of local print houses for high output printing.

Video Production

With our extensive media suite we have the ability to design, film and edit videos in-house. These can then be output on a number of formats and duplicated as needed.

Photography

We have the ability and experience to both produce and edit high quality photographs in house ready for publishing or distribution in a range of formats.
