Job Title: Lead Officer for Sustainable Employment Projects
Post Reference: IFA 140
Hours: 37 hours per week (this may include some evening/weekend work as required)
Duration: Initially until end of March 2010 (subject to future funding – extendable to March 2011)
Grade: IFA Pay Scale S1/30 (23063)
Closing Date: 5pm – 17th July 2009
Ideal for All is a not for profit company and registered charity run by and for disabled people in Sandwell. It provides a range of services to support disabled people, carers and disadvantaged groups to learn new skills and live as independently as possible.
We currently have a vacancy for a Lead Officer for Sustainable Employment Projects:
- Adhering to the framework of Ideal for All’s user-led management model, support the company in achieving its contractual and project objectives and ensure future development and sustainability of the service.
- To take a lead role in co-ordinating a high quality delivery of the Employment & Skills service to provide disabled and disadvantaged people with the necessary support in promoting their training and employability prospects.
- To ensure an efficient management and smooth delivery of contracts and projects.
- To manage the overall performance and monitoring of the projects, liaising with and reporting to funders as required.
- To develop, promote and establish an Ideal Training Centre delivering a wide range of courses in a proficient manner.
- To regularly research funding opportunities and apply for funding as advised and approved by the management.
- To support other staff members within the service to support achievement of required outputs.
- To act as a Lead Officer providing briefings, advice, guidance and support on strategic and operational employment and skills service issues, as and when required.
- To explore and promote collaborative working with VCS organisations, as approved.
You should have previous experience of working with disabled and disadvantage people
